No need to do some extra coding, as Kajabi handles the rest for you, saving you time and effort in the long run.
Some course builders don’t have this feature, but Kajabi offers users the ability to create websites to host their content. As there is a lot of potential in selling courses, it also offers a slew of marketing and sales tools to promote them to a wider audience. This includes checkouts and payments, sales funnels, detailed analytics, and even integrations – all very useful, especially if you sell your content as products for a living.
It doesn’t stop there. Aside from making content and selling them efficiently, Kajabi has a rich library of resources and support that you can always fall back into anytime a problem arises. You can learn valuable information, improve your earning potential, and access a large database of videos and help articles.

Since its founding more than a decade ago, Kajabi has helped build more than 100k businesses, oversaw the creation of 300k+ products from courses to newsletters, and has earned a whopping $4 billion in sales. We can appreciate how popular this platform is in course-building. However, there are some glaring omissions like its expensive plans and lack of key features such as certifications.

Ever since I came across this platform, I’ve never been so glad to have Kajabi as my go-to place for promoting the skills I know and selling them to those who are thirsty for knowledge. It’s great to learn more about it.

Kajabi allows you to do many things.
- You can create courses by either building them up from its offering of templates or doing it all from scratch;
- Build any kind of website to house whatever you want to showcase, whether it be a homepage/store for your course content, a landing page, a place for customers to check out, or space for you and your customers to connect; New Kajabi Comparison
- You can sell any product, whether it’s free, a bonus, or a subscription.
- Make use of its range of marketing, reporting, and sales functions to acquire a wider reach from sales funnel blueprints to affiliates.
Kajabi is commonly used in two ways: to build products that will be marketed and sold in a uniquely personalized platform, and to simply create a website to host other types of content and solutions beyond courses.
I’ve personally used Kajabi for the first and primary reason why it was established in the first place – to make, host, and sell content that I’ve always been confident in putting. But, either way, its impressive capacities have created this service a leading platform for sharing new things with people from all walks of life.
Kajabi’s Pricing Plans
Kajabi currently offers three pricing options, namely:
- The Basic Plan, which costs as low as $119/month (billed annually from here onward),
- The Growth Plan, priced starting at $159/month, and
- The Pro Plan, which costs $319/month.
With the Basic plan, you’re allowed to come up with three products and three sales funnels, create unlimited landing pages and marketing e-mails, gain up to 1000 active customers, and have the opportunity to create a website with hosting provided by Kajabi itself.
The Growth tier lets you explore mostly the same features as the previous one, plus upgrades such as 10,000 customers, ten admin users for one website, advanced automations, the Kajabi affiliate program, and the ability to remove all Kajabi branding from your site and courses.
Meanwhile, Kajabi Pro further expands the number of features with access to the code editor, on top of level-up upgrades like an allowance for 100 products and 100 funnels, 20,000 customers, three websites, and a total of 25 admin users.
Unfortunately, it does not currently offer a free plan. Kajabi offers a 14-day free trial on all of its plans. If you are interested in giving it a try, this is the time to do so.
Kajabi is often criticized for its high price range. Some platforms offer premium plans at half or even a quarter of the cost of Kajabi’s Basic tier. Those who have encountered Kajabi’s premium plans may find the pricing a bit of a reach, especially for the first time. Based on my experience, however, I can empathize somewhat with Kajabi’s premium plans. It went above and beyond with its services, user experience, and pricing.

Kajabi provides a one-stop shop for all your content and business needs. And by that, I mean there’s more than what you can expect. Let’s now take a look at some of the key features of the platform and break them down one-by-one.
Course Management and Creation
The ability to create meaningful course content is at the heart of many full-fledged platforms that specialize in educational entrepreneurship (edupreneurship, if you will), Kajabi included. Kajabi understands the struggle many creators often face, so that’s why it took extra steps to ensure that everything goes according to plan, all while easing the difficulties most individuals can relate to. With that in mind, Kajabi offers its users a go-to space where they can create impactful courses and, at the same time, are provided with all the necessary tools to further their reach – from how to attract potential subscribers with convincing teasers to sharing what they know using unique approaches to make them stay longer.
Courses and Products
According to Kajabi, products can refer to any digital course that you are bound to take. You can also use it to refer to other forms of the course content. On one hand, some similar platforms refer to those products as, simply, courses, given their more educational nature. Kajabi on the other hand, understands the importance of the term. It’s not only the amount of knowledge that goes into making a product feasible, but also how it sells to people around the world.
Kajabi currently offers seven types of products. Each is available as a blueprint, or template, that you can generate and edit right away once you’ve selected one. One of those is an Online Course in which you’re allowed to create a content-filled course with as many lessons and media files and as much information as possible. Another is a Blank Blueprint, where you can start from scratch and add anything you want.
Apart from the main course and blank template, other product blueprints offered by Kajabi include:
- Mini-courses are great for when you need a quick and easy course to give away or as a bonus. They can be used to increase brand awareness and build anticipation for the future.
- Evergreen Training – also known as Drip Courses, gives you a strategic framework that sees course lessons released periodically, preferably over a series of weeks
- Coaching Program – designed by Wall Street bestselling author Brendan Burchard, lets you create an intimate 12-week program as a means to enhance your skills to the next level
- Membership – for when you want to store all your content in one central platform where your subscribers can explore anytime
- For when you want to make a community where your members can share their thoughts and ideas about your courses, and other matters.
The Course Building Process
Once you have chosen your preferred product template, it is time to start building your course. Add whatever else is needed. You can either start from scratch or adapt an existing template. The best thing is to incorporate all of the knowledge and skills that you have acquired over the years into an information-rich course.
As you navigate through Kajabi’s course builder page, you’ll get to explore a multitude of customization and editing options. You may add the title of the course as well as the sections that make up the course, upload a thumbnail or poster image that suits what you’re aiming and adjust the flow of your entire outline.
Additionally, you may upload downloadable PDFs, attach media files, utilize bulk uploads powered by cloud storage software, and add e-mail automations, among other things. Kajabi gives you the option to release the product’s contents either periodically or simultaneously. You can choose to release the content of Drip Courses within a few days, or even one week, depending on how long you want. The Lock feature can be used to prevent students from accessing any category until they have completed a prerequisite.
Exploring Kajabi’s Course Player
For every course, there needs to be a place where they can be presented for anyone to see, click, and go further – and an attractive one, too. Kajabi’s Course Player feature provides a platform that allows you to store and display your products to students who have subscribed. You can customize the courses and the course player to create a better learning experience.
Kajabi offers over 10 themes for default course players. In other platforms, you may notice most may have only three themes or only one in-store. Compare that with Kajabi’s wider range, all you’ll notice the difference right away. What I particularly like about it is that there are more options to explore – Kajabi surely may be quite too pricey to afford for some, but we can at least appreciate how much it gives to offer us this privilege! You can choose from any of the course theme themes and customize it as you wish. Kajabi values convenience above all else, so you don’t have to know how to code to make your course player look great. Or, if you’re better equipped with web design skills, you may opt to upload your fully-personalized theme instead!
Instructor-Student Interactions and Assessments
Communication is key to a student’s success and a means to gain the trust of the instructor. For this reason, Kajabi provides a variety of ways for you and your members to interact. The Community feature is one of these. You can offer it as a separate product or as part of your membership package. It functions like a social media page where you and your subscribers write, see who’s online, share posts, and make comments relating to the lessons you’ve put out. Another comes in the form of comments under every lesson – you may choose to manage, hide, or even disable them altogether.
Assessments are a great way to keep your members interested. This involves creating quizzes that reflect the lessons they’ve learned to stimulate their brains. There are different types of questions that you may use to create an assessment, from multiple-choice questions to paragraph fill-ins. To encourage students to do better, you may set a passing score. If not, don’t give them any pressure.
Although Kajabi’s assessment tool may be impressive, it is quite obvious that it lacks delivery. Kajabi appears to be the only course-building service that doesn’t offer native certification tools, which is a significant difference from other services. It’s not something I mind, but it may be a problem for those who enjoy giving out certificates. This one asset would have been a great way to reward students for their accomplishments, such as finishing the course.
Website Building Tools
Aside from course-building, another important aspect of Kajabi is its ability to house powerful yet simple tools for creating a website. Kajabi’s built-in website builder allows you to create and customize your website without having to rely on third-party providers. The platform offers free hosting for all plans.
The Kajabi website builder is also easy to navigate, although there are times when the interface can be a bit confusing. The drag-and-drop techniques apply to the editor, but it’s not what you would expect – instead of the usual “drag the blocks/widgets from the menu and drop them into the workspace,” you just drag to rearrange sections of a page from the top to bottom on the left-hand menu, and the workspace, once updated, will reflect the change.
Website Themes and Customization
Kajabi’s website creator allows you to choose from 14 themes (eight regular themes and six heritage themes) along with a complete set of pages. You may do so by adding or deleting each page’s building blocks, which comprise many types of content such as text and font styles, media widgets, pricing, offers, FAQs, and testimonials. To grab the attention of your audience, you can include countdown widgets and fill-in forms as well as social media content and call-to-action buttons.
The customization doesn’t stop there with building blocks, as Kajabi offers a few alternative ways to personalize your website. You can adjust the theme settings tab to make your website more personal or fit the needs of your business. For every Kajabi-optimized theme, you have the option to delete or add any page you like. There are more page options for you to explore other than home and landing pages, such as a log-in page, thank-you page, 404 error screen, portfolio, FAQ, policies, opt-in pages, and a coming soon page. You can also create a blog page if blogging is part of your specialty or skill. This allows you to compile all your published posts into an archive that readers have access to at any time.
Blogging Capabilities
Kajabi’s built-in blogging function allows you to publish posts to your blog and make them visible to everyone. Blogs can be used to publish articles on a wide range of topics. Kajabi’s version serves much the same purpose.
If you wish to give updates on the products or content you plan to release in the future, share a handful of tips based on what you’ve learned so far in your chosen path as a means to inspire others, or offer search engine-optimized articles to boost your traffic in any way, you may fancy yourself with Kajabi’s blogging tools. It functions similarly to that of well-recognized blogging platforms such as WordPress – you type in the words you want to say, the media files and links you want to share, and the tags for which you think your post is more appropriate. You can choose to publish the post immediately or schedule it to be published later. Kajabi’s blogging feature may not have the same dynamic prowess as WordPress’s, but it’s functional enough for anyone to use.

The process of planning how to make products as sellable as possible can be such a daunting task, and Kajabi remedies this by providing an impressive suite of marketing and sales tools designed to maximize your platform and ease your convenience. Plus, it surprisingly outdoes its other top contemporaries in this field, in my opinion!
Convenient Sales Pipelines
A well-designed funnel can lead to greater opportunities for your company. However, designing one can be difficult, especially if it’s not something you are very familiar with. Kajabi comes to the rescue with its effectively designed pre-made pipelines, all of which are customizable and ready for use. There are 14 templates in total, seven of which are default and seven for legacy templates.
Each one is tailored to your product promotion needs. You may give away freebies to your potential subscribers to keep them interested, show your courses in a way they can be tempted to purchase, coach them, or hold a Zoom meeting. Sales pipeline blueprints are a big help in generating leads and increasing traffic leading to my content, and I honestly have never been glad to be able to use them.
As with some popular course platforms that have this feature, Kajabi’s collection sales pipelines are convenient and straightforward, plus it requires zero expert skills to get things right as the blueprint is automatically laid out for you. Kajabi’s sales funnel includes cards that contain pages, automations and sequences that will be welcomed by your customers.
E-mail Marketing and Automations
Sending e-mails is a fail-proof marketing strategy that businesses of all types use, whether it be to promote new releases from musical artists or to share updates on new and on-sale items from your favorite retailers. The same can be said for courses and other learning materials – Kajabi’s built-in e-mail marketing feature helps keep your members and potential customers highly engaged with the content you’ve released.
You might be interested in two types of e mail campaigns: email broadcasts, which you can use to send one email to your subscribers about your courses (like a newsletter) and sequences that you create messages based on user activity using automations. Automations generally exist to ease the burden of your duties – in this case, you wouldn’t have to manually send e-mails as you can schedule them corresponding to students’ actions. Kajabi’s email sequencing feature allows you to create messages and choose the time they should be sent. Campaigns and automations aside, did you know that you can also create e-mails within Kajabi? There are many templates available on the platform. CRM for managing members
Managing individuals who are subscribed to your courses can be a pain, and even more so if the provided platform for it is unstable. Kajabi and other course management tools have functional CRM (customer relationship management) tools.
Kajabi’s CRM section (also known as People if you sign-in) allows you to monitor the activities of your members remotely. You can see who bought your products, who subscribed to your membership and track their progress. You can also see who has been inactive longer.
Check out the profile of one of your students to learn more about them. Here you can see the student’s life, how long they have been enrolled in your course, and detailed information such as when and where they signed up. Kajabi’s People feature can be useful in checking who has performed poorly and giving them a boost with feedback notes and, if necessary, a few freebies to get them back on track.
Kajabi’s CRM features go beyond the People dashboard. Course assessments and affiliate management are included in the bundle. We’ve already talked about the former earlier in full detail, but we haven’t come across the latter yet, which is what we’re exactly about to do shortly.
Kajabi Affiliate Program
As a way of expanding its reach, a successful business can recruit affiliates. Limited only to users in the Growth and Pro plans, the Kajabi Affiliate Program offers them a handful of resources needed to transform their members into trustworthy affiliates of your brand. You simply need to convince your most active students to sign up for the program. They may also be eligible to receive a portion of your earnings.
With Kajabi Affiliates, not only could you get to build a stronger following. Your chances of increasing your conversion rate and generating more clicks could be higher with Kajabi Affiliates. Most course management services often take a little bit of, too much of, or half the percentage of your profits made from selling courses. Kajabi, meanwhile, makes sure that the money you earn goes straight into your pocket. Kajabi is my favorite platform because I can keep 100% of the revenue I make from selling my products. This gave me a tremendous morale boost, which I don’t get from other platforms.
I may understand why they had to take cuts as a means to sustain their business model, but for the edupreneurs who are eager to improve, this can be seen as a bit of a disadvantage. Fortunately, Kajabi has a solution to further let them grow, even despite the high price range. You can control how refunds are handled, in addition to the advantage of keeping your earnings private. Kajabi isn’t that strict when it comes to this issue, giving its users the chance to do whatever they want – they can either let their members have access to their content even after requesting a refund or otherwise.
Kajabi offers native integrations with the payment gateway outlets Stripe and PayPal. Stripe takes care of primarily credit and debit cards as well as e-wallet providers, and there’s no need to explain further about PayPal since it’s a very common mode of payment online. You may have to pay service fees for the payment gateway that you use. Technically, your revenue would be deducted, but not significantly.

- It offers a social media-like feed that allows you and your family members to interact and communicate with each other
- It is known for its excellent customer service and rich information resource library.
- It prioritizes its user base community over all other features.

The Cons:
- It has a higher price range compared to other course-building platforms – this is because it follows a different framework and business model that doesn’t resort to burdening the user
- It does not have a native tool for recognizing students. It also lacks assessment features, such as the inability of setting the length of each question or uploading question files.
- Its management feature lacks other essential and advanced tools like SMS marketing, custom tracking for affiliates, and inventory tracking
- Though flexible and easy to use as the interface may seem, some of its functions may be confusing to use at times

It took me many years of research and skillful thinking to find the right course management platform for me when I started my journey into educational entrepreneurship.
